IFJAS: Rs 270 cr trade inquiries in 16th edition of Fashion Jewelery & Accessories Show

The 16th edition of the three-day Indian Fashion Jewelery and Accessories Fair (IFJAS) has generated business inquiries of around Rs 270 crore, the Export Promotion Council for Handicrafts (EPCH) said on Wednesday. ).

“About 680 professional visitors comprising overseas buyers from 54 countries, their representatives and domestic volume buyers visited the show to meet their needs,” said Rakesh Kumar, General Manager of EPCH.

Buyers from Argentina, Austria, Australia, France, Egypt, Denmark, Iceland, Iran, Italy, Jordan, Kenya, Kuwait, Germany, from the Netherlands, Greece, Mexico, Italy, Russia, Japan, United Arab Emirates, Israel, Turkey, Canada, Brazil, United States and United Kingdom, among others.

According to Kumar, on display were costume jewelry, semi-precious jewelry, belts and wallets, handbags and purses, fashion accessories, head and hair accessories, stoles and scarves. , shawls, novelty shoes, handcrafted garments, protective garments and components.

“More than 150 exhibitors with products in five exhibit categories, regional artisans and entrepreneurs showcased their new lines at IFJAS and are expected to return with orders, inquiries and follow-ups after the show,” a- he declared.

Craft exports in FY22 were $4.45 billion, up 28.9% from the prior year. India’s jewelry and fashion accessories exports in 2021-22 were $255.97 million, according to EPCH.
